One of the most ubiquitous tunes around.
From KelticDead Music: "The Swallowtail Jig tune evolved from older dance tunes, also known as “Dromey's Fancy,” and “Swallow's Nest.” There's a lot of similarity with the older tune, “Fiddler's Jig” which is often confused with the “Irish Washerwoman.” The Swallowtail Jig is its own dance tune, and sometimes referred to the “dancing master tune,” in which it referenced 19th century dancing masters who wore the tailed coats which resembled the tail feathers of the swallowtail bird."
